WATERLOO, Ont. - The Laurier Golden Hawks women's and men's golf programs are inviting eligible student-athletes to compete for a spot on their 2026 rosters through a three-day open tryout later this month at Grey Silo Golf Club.

The tryouts, open to registered Laurier students interested in joining either program as walk-on athletes, will take place August 22-24 at Grey Silo Golf Club in Waterloo.

Location: Grey Silo Golf Club (2001 University Ave. E., Waterloo, Ont.)

• Saturday, August 22 - Tee times begin at 1 pm
• Sunday, August 23 - Tee times begin at 11:30 am
• Monday, August 24 - Tee times begin at 12 pm

Prospective student-athletes must hold an official golf handicap of five or lower and are required to participate in all three days of the evaluation process.

Head coach Jeff Colley will oversee the tryouts and interested participants are reminded not to pay the registration fee until they have received confirmation from Colley.

Registration, including the required participation waiver, must be completed by August 20 through Laurier Athletics' online registration portal.
