About the Outstanding Women of Laurier Gala
Since 2006, we have highlighted and showcased the phenomenal talent, and exceptional achievements of our female student-athletes. The Outstanding Women of Laurier award is presented to the nominee who best demonstrates athletic success, academic achievement and commitment to the development of young athletes through community teaching or coaching.
Since beginning this annual celebration of both athletic and individual excellence, The Outstanding Women of Laurier event has raised more than $500,000 for women's athletic programs, scholarships, and our mentor coaching program. Your support will directly benefit our students and, through them, the young athletes they inspire.
Proceeds Benefit:
Event proceeds support three key initiatives directly impacting women:
- Financial scholarships are provided through the Outstanding Women of Laurier award
- Mentor coaching opportunities for women with Laurier's varsity teams
- Enhancement funds for women's sport related experiences
