Academic Support   

 Accessible Learning Centre 

  • Accessible Learning Centre (ALC) aims to provide students with temporary or permanent disabilities with access to accommodations that remove barriers and allow opportunities for equal participation. Support is provided in a way that aids students in completing the essential requirements of their courses and program without jeopardizing academic integrity. It is important that you have connected with you respective Athletic Therapist or Coordinator, Athlete Services for support and guidance through this process.

Career  

  • At Laurier, we want you to be real-world ready. You can rely on our Career Centre at students.wlu.ca for career and employment support. We provide you with programs and resources you need to start your career after you leave Laurier 

Centre for Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion 

  • The Centre for Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (CSEDI) works to cultivate a culture on campus that respects and promotes equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and social justice in all aspects of Laurier – from classrooms to residence communities. The Centre provides support, education and spaces for students to find community and engage in equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Financial Support  

Gendered and Sexual Violence Prevention and Support 

  • If you're not sure what to do or where to turn, a good place to start is with Laurier’s Gendered and Sexual Violence Prevention and Supports. They support students who have experienced gendered and sexual violence on or off campus, or before you came to Laurier.

Human Rights and Conflict Management 

  • The Office of Human Rights and Conflict Management was designed to promote a study and workplace culture that is supportive of professional and personal development and free from discrimination and harassment.

Indigenous Student Services 

  • The Indigenous Student Centres in Waterloo and Brantford are committed to fostering a positive student experience for Indigenous students: First Nation (status and non-status), Inuit and Métis persons. Whether you need academic or personal support, financial assistance or career advice, they are here to help.

Wellness  

  • Laurier's Student Wellness Centre is the home of all physical, emotional and mental health services for students on our Waterloo campus. They are a multidisciplinary team offering comprehensive, collaborative service to help you get the best support in the most seamless and coordinated manner possible. They welcome and support diverse communities and all students have access to these services through their OHIP and extended health plans
