This Golden Hawks National Rankings Update is presented by Westpoint Sports.

WATERLOO, Ont. – Laurier Golden Hawks football held firm at #9 in the latest U SPORTS Top 10 football rankings released Monday, marking the third consecutive week the program has occupied the national position.

Laurier is one of four Ontario University Athletics (OUA) teams featured in the national poll, joining #3 Western, #4 Queen's, and #8 Windsor. 

The reigning Yates Cup finalists sit ninth with 32 points in the ranking formula, unchanged from last week's poll.

At the top of the rankings, Laval (4-0) moved into the No. 1 spot after collecting 148 total points, edging Montreal (3-1).

Saskatchewan (3-1) rounded out the top five, followed by Saint Mary's (4-0) in sixth. 

UBC (3-1) climbed to seventh after being ranked 14th a week ago, while Windsor (3-2) moved up to eighth. Regina (2-2) completed the top 10.

The Golden Hawks will play their final game before their bye week this Saturday, October 2 against the Waterloo Warriors at Warrior Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
