Laurier women’s hockey remains at #3 in U SPORTS rankings

This Golden Hawks National Rankings Update is presented by Westpoint Sports

RICHMOND HILL, Ont. - For the third straight week, the Golden Hawks hold down a podium spot.

The purple and gold have been dominant since the calendar turned to 2026, earning three consecutive number three rankings. After a narrow 2-1 win over Western and 3-0 shutout over Windsor, the Golden Hawks extended their winning streak to 11 games and officially clinched their third straight playoff berth.

There was some major movement from other conference schools this week. Guelph and Waterloo swapped places as Guelph moved from number eight to six and Waterloo took over the eighth spot. Queen's, previously ranked at number 10, fell out of the rankings completely.

With six regular season games remaining in the OUA season, three OUA schools are represented in the rankings, tied for the most alongside the AUS, while Canada West and the RSEQ both have two.

U SPORTS uses the Elo rating system to calculate its weekly national rankings. Elo calculates team rankings on a game-by-game basis, using an algorithm that generates a statistical calculation based on certain customized variables adapted across the range of U SPORTS team sports.
