RICHMOND HILL, Ont. - The Golden Hawks are still holding down a podium spot.

For the second straight week, the purple and gold sit at third overall in the country. The Golden Hawks extended their win streak to nine games on Saturday night, beating York 4-0.

Of the nine wins, six are shutouts, and the Golden Hawks have not allowed a goal against in nine straight periods of play. The streak matches the longest since the 2013-2014 season. With eight games remaining, the Golden Hawks, at 44 points, sit first in the OUA.

There was some movement from the other three conference teams. Waterloo, previously tenth, jumped to number six, while Guelph fell one spot to eighth and Queen's from number nine to ten.

U SPORTS uses the Elo rating system to calculate its weekly national rankings. Elo calculates team rankings on a game-by-game basis, using an algorithm that generates a statistical calculation based on certain customized variables adapted across the range of U SPORTS team sports.
