WATERLOO, Ont. - Golden Hawks Kristi Godkin and Maksym Telishchuk are the Laurier Athletes of the Week, presented by The Hawk Shop. 

Godkin, a fifth-year business major from Orleans, Ont., has carried over her success from last season into this one.  

The two-time OUA All-Star and back-to-back bronze medalist at the OUA championships earned herself an individual silver medal at the Western Women's Invitational with a score of 73 (+1). 

On the short turnaround Godkin narrowly missed her third straight podium at the Brock Invitational with a fourth-place finish and score of 76. 

Telishchuk, a first-year business major from Mississauga, Ont., played a key role in picking up the men's soccer team's second win of the season.  

In the 28th minute, the rookie scored his first career OUA goal, and in the 90th minute Telishchuk netted the game winner to lift the Golden Hawks over the Western Mustangs, 3-2.  

This is the fourth career Laurier Athlete of the Week award for Godkin and first for Telishchuk.
