BURLINGTON, Ont. - Laurier golfer Dayton Price has been named an OUA Athlete of the Week along with York men's soccer player Yigal Bruk and fellow golfer Mia Wong from Toronto for the period ending October 19th, 2025.

Price couldn't have made a more impressive debut on the OUA men's golf scene. In his first season with the Golden Hawks, the Hamilton, Ont. native shot a combined two-day score of -6 to win the individual OUA men's championship at the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club.

In Saturday's opening round, the communication studies major overcame a double-bogey on his first hole by carding six birdies to shoot a -2 (68).

Despite less than favourable weather conditions on Sunday, he followed that up with five more birdies for a round of -4 (68), moving up four spots to become just the second Laurier men's golfer and first since Jaron Brown in 2019 to win individual OUA gold.
