WATERLOO, Ont. - Laurier Athletics is looking for the next lead voice of Golden Hawks women's hockey and basketball on OUA.tv

This role involves delivering live game commentary, including team and student-athlete player information, highlighting key performances, and engaging viewers throughout Laurier Athletics' OUA.tv webcasts.

The commentator will work alongside a colour commentator to provide an engaging and informative broadcast experience for our webcast viewers.

The successful applicant will be required to work all regular season and playoff home games, typically hosted on Wednesday through Sundays from early October to early March.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Knowledge of women's basketball or hockey  

• Knowledge of OUA (Ontario University Athletics) and U SPORTS basketball or hockey rules and regulations  

• Previous play-by-play experience is preferred  

• Memorization of home team rosters and coaching staff (names, numbers, pronunciations)

• Research storylines for each game and know opposing team players, coaches, stats, and name pronunciations

• Must be able to attend all Golden Hawks women's basketball or hockey games 

• Arrive at event venue prior at least 30 minutes prior to start time to check in with OUA.tv production crew

• Great personality with a clear, energetic, and dynamic voice.
