Elgersma earns invite to Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers rookie minicamps

WATERLOO, Ont. - Despite not hearing his name called in the 2025 NFL Draft, Golden Hawks quarterback Taylor Elgersma still has time to impress after being invited to the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills rookie minicamps.

The Packers' rookie minicamp takes place from May 2-4 while the Bills will hold theirs from May 9-11.

After appearing at the College Gridiron Showcase and becoming the first U SPORTS quarterback to receive an invite to the Reese's Senior Bowl, Elgersma will get the opportunity to impress Packers and Bills brass.

Both teams are familiar with Elgersma as he attended the University at Buffalo's Pro Day to continue the NFL draft process, with members of the Bills staff on hand, and went on a top 30 visit to Lambeau Field earlier this month.

The London, Ont., native has been turning heads this past season, leading the Golden Hawks to an 11-1 record featuring a Yates Cup championship, Uteck Bowl, and Vanier Cup appearance. His numbers match the hype.

The two-time OUA MVP and Hec Crighton winner topped the U SPORTS charts in touchdowns (20), yards per game (330.4), and total passing yards (2,659) in the 2024 regular season.

It's the second year in a row a Golden Hawk has earned a pro invite south of the border after Luke Brubacher attended both the NY Jets' and New Orleans' minicamps last spring.
