The Wilfrid Laurier University Men's Lacrosse Program is a great way to engage in the school's community, giving students a chance to don the purple and gold while competing in Canada's national sport. The team will hold tryouts this weekend, Saturday, August 26th from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and Sunday, August 27th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. 
 
The Men's Lacrosse team competes in the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) West division. A talented conference accompanied by schools such as Nipissing University, and the reigning National Finalists, University of Guelph among others. The team plays 10 regular season games spanning from the beginning of September to the end of October with playoffs ensuing in early November.
 
Over and above the competition aspect, there is a strong sense of teamwork, respect and resiliency within the team. While also creating a fun environment in the process through camaraderie and many different team bonding activities.
