PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Laurier won its 12th OUA men's curling championship after an extra-end 6-5 defeat of the Queen's Gaels on Sunday afternoon at the Peterborough Curling Club.
The Golden Hawks completed an undefeated run through the two-day championship, going 4-0 in pool play before wins against TMU and Guelph set up the match-up against Queen's. An appearance in the final also automatically qualified Laurier for the U SPORTS/Curling Canada University Championships taking place in Sudbudy, Ont. from March 15-19.
The win also secured the second three-peat in the program's history, with the last one coming between 2015 and 2017.
