Miller chosen in NLL draft

Danton Miller, a 2nd year Archeology student from Ohsweken, Ont., was chosen in the recent professional lacrosse draft as the 49th pick going to the Vancouver Stealth.

The 2016 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft was a banner one for CUFLA players. What is believed to be a record number of Canadian university players were selected, with six players going overall including two in the second round of the draft that was held last Monday at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.

Vancouver was pleased to see Laurier attack Danton Miller available when they were selecting in the sixth round. Miller set team records tallying 38 points on 23 goals and 15 assists last fall for the Golden Hawks and already has 16 points (9/7) after 5 games this season.
