WATERLOO, Ont. - The Laurier Golden Hawks will begin the 2026 Ontario University Athletics (OUA) men's rugby season on September 13 when they host the Queen's Gaels at University Stadium, part of the six-game regular season schedule released Wednesday afternoon.
The season and home opener present an immediate test for Laurier as the 25-time conference champions return to Waterloo less than a year after ending the Golden Hawks' season in the OUA semifinals.
Laurier enters the campaign under the leadership of head coach
Phil Murphy, who is set to begin his fifth season at the helm of the program.
The Golden Hawks waste little time renewing another rivalry, traveling down the street in week 2 for a Battle of Waterloo match-up against the Waterloo Warriors.
Laurier then returns home to face the McMaster Marauders before embarking on a pair of road contests to close out September and begin October.
The Golden Hawks visit the Brock Badgers on October 4 before traveling to Guelph to face the five-time defending OUA champion Gryphons on October 9.
Following the road trip through St. Catharines and the Royal City, the Golden Hawks return to University Stadium for Senior Day while also concluding the regular season on October 18 against the Western Mustangs.
Admission is free for all Golden Hawk home games.
