This Golden Hawks National Rankings Update is presented by Westpoint Sports
RICHMOND HILL, Ont. - The Golden Hawks keep on climbing.
Laurier jumped from seventh to fifth in the national rankings and closed out the 2025 portion of the season on a high note as winners of five straight games.
In that span, the Golden Hawks have outscored their opponents 18-3, and have three shutout wins, two of them consecutive in a 5-0 win over Brock and a 4-0 win over Western.
The Golden Hawks were the only OUA team to move up this week. Queen's dropped from third to fourth, Guelph fell from fifth to ninth, and Waterloo stayed put at number 10.
U SPORTS uses the Elo rating system to calculate its weekly national rankings. Elo calculates team rankings on a game-by-game basis, using an algorithm that generates a statistical calculation based on certain customized variables adapted across the range of U SPORTS team sports.
