This Golden Hawks National Rankings Update is presented by Westpoint Sports
RICHMOND HILL, Ont. - The Golden Hawks are back in the top 10.
After the Golden Hawks swept their weekend trip in the nation's capital, the purple and gold are back in the top 10 and sit at number six.
This comes on the heels of the Golden Hawks defeating previously #8 Ottawa in overtime, and beating Carleton 3-1.
There was movement in this week's rankings. The Golden Hawks jumped from number 11 to six, Ottawa fell one spot to nine, Toronto fell from number five to eight, and Guelph stayed put at number four.
U SPORTS uses the Elo rating system to calculate its weekly national rankings. Elo calculates team rankings on a game-by-game basis, using an algorithm that generates a statistical calculation based on certain customized variables adapted across the range of U SPORTS team sports.
