WATERLOO, Ont. - A late push for the visiting Brock Badgers gave them a 2-1 victory over the Golden Hawks on Friday night at Ansley Alumni Field.
The result dropped the Golden Hawks to a 3-2-1 record in conference play this season, tying them for third with Guelph and Waterloo in the OUA West.

Alban Osdautaj was the lone goal scorer for the Golden Hawks after netting a penalty shot won by Laurier forward
Andrea Chiechi in the 30th minute.
However, the Brock Badgers responded quickly, scoring just two minutes later as Leart Nura beat Laurier's
David Carano, who finished with a four-save performance on six on-target attempts from the Badgers.
The turning point came in the 53rd minute as Laurier's other co-captain
Arber Osdautaj received his second yellow card, forcing the Golden Hawks to play the remainder of the match a man down.
Ultimately, Laurier's strong second-half defence didn't hold as Brock captain Tiago Pereira scored the game-winner in the 85th minute
.
The match was a physical one, with both teams committing the same number of fouls, three in the first half and six in the second; however, it was Laurier picking up more cautions totaling seven as opposed to Brock's three.
"Obviously losing sucks, but we have a long week to recover; we can put extra focus into that game against York, which will be a tough game," said Laurier's co-captainÂ
