WATERLOO, Ont. - The Golden Hawks men's hockey program is inviting current Laurier students to compete for an opportunity to join the team during open tryouts for the 2026-27 season.

The tryout will take place on Wednesday, September 9, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.

Student-athletes interested in earning a roster spot must have competed at a minimum of the Junior C level and complete the required registration process before the deadline.

Participants are asked to report to the men's hockey dressing room, located near the home team bench, by 10 a.m. on the day of the tryout.

The registration fee for the tryout is $40, and all prospective participants must review and acknowledge the program's participation waiver prior to taking part in on-ice evaluations.

Registration, including the required participation waiver, must be completed by September 4 through Laurier Athletics' online registration portal.
