WATERLOO, Ont. - The Laurier Golden Hawks women's hockey team has released its 2026 preseason schedule as the program prepares for the upcoming season.
Laurier's six-game exhibition slate begins on Thursday, September 17, when they welcome the defending McCaw Cup champion Guelph Gryphons to the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
The Golden Hawks then travel to St. Catharines, Ont., on Saturday, September 26, to take on the Brock Badgers at Canada Games Park before returning home for back-to-back contests.
Laurier hosts the Western Mustangs on Thursday, October 1, at 7 p.m. before taking on the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks on Saturday, October 3, at 3 p.m.
The preseason schedule concludes with a pair of road games, beginning with a match-up against the Gryphons at Gryphon Centre Arena on Wednesday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m.
Two days later, the purple and gold will visit Toronto to face the Varsity Blues on Friday, October 9, at 6 p.m. at the Varsity Centre.
All three preseason home games are free for fans to attend.
Laurier will trek back to Toronto and open its OUA regular season schedule on October 15 against the Varsity Blues.
The team's home opener is set for Saturday, October 17, with the TMU Bold back in town as the opposition.
