RICHMOND HILL, Ont. - For the second straight week, the Golden Hawks have maintained their position at the top of the leaderboard. Â
The purple and gold share the top seed again with the Laval Rouge et Or who are now 2-0 after a 28-5 win over Sherbrooke.Â
There was some movement among OUA teams. Queen's, previously #5, moved down to #9, and Guelph, who were unranked, moved up to #10, and Western stays put at #3. Â
U SPORTS uses the Elo rating system to calculate its weekly national rankings. Elo calculates team rankings on a game-by-game basis, using an algorithm that generates a statistical calculation based on certain customized variables adapted across the range of U SPORTS team sports. Â
The Top 10 in football is generated by a combination of Elo rankings and a media poll, each component worth 50 percent of the final total.
