KINGSTON, Ont. - The Laurier Golden Hawks men's rugby team continued their dominant start to the season with a commanding 57-10 victory over the RMC Paladins at Inner Field in Kingston on Saturday.
The win marks Laurier's fifth consecutive triumph over the Paladins since 2017 and extends their perfect record to 3-0 to open the 2025 campaign.
Laurier set the tone early, building a 33-5 lead by halftime.
Their offensive onslaught was led by
Finn Hughes, who scored a game-high three tries.
Ben Foote added two tries, while
Joe Aceti,
Jack Gore,
Zach Berrill, and
Drew McQueen each found the try zone as well.
Gore was also sharp with the boot, successfully converting six tries.
The Golden Hawks continued to press in the second half, scoring four of the final five tries to put the game out of reach.
Their next matchup is scheduled for Friday night against the Trent Excalibur at Justin Chiu Stadium in Peterborough. Game time is set for 7pm.
Laurier will look to make history by winning their first four games of a season for the first time since 2006.
