Laurier swimming release 2025-26 season schedule

WATERLOO, Ont. - The Golden Hawk swim team's 2025-2026 schedule has been officially announced.

Laurier's swim season begins on October 4 at Carleton, where the Golden Hawks will try to repeat their victory from last season against the Ravens and Queen's Gaels.

On October 19, the Hawks will travel to Brock for the Brock Invitational against several OUA competitors.

The Gold Hawks will have back-to-back home pool competitions this season, beginning with the annual Battle of Waterloo, hosted once again on Halloween night, October 31, at the Athletic Complex Pool.

The team will be back in home water on November 8, where they face the Brock Badgers and York Lions at the Golden Hawk Tri-Meet.

The most anticipated meet of the year for the Golden Hawks will be the Dean Boles Divisional Championship from November 22-23, hosted by the University of Guelph Gryphons.

Last year, Laurier finished second in combined score and was close to a divisional championship. Each year, the divisional champions move up to the top division in the OUA.

After the winter break, the Golden Hawks will be back in the water on January 18 at the University of Toronto for the annual U of T Winter Invitational.

The last meet for the Hawks to fine-tune their skills before championship season will be on January 31 at the second Brock Invitational.

The OUA Swimming Championships will be held on February 19-21 at Western, where the Hawks aim to build on their fifth-place finish on the men's side and seventh-place finish on the women's side from the 2024-2025 season.

Lastly, the qualifying Golden Hawks will bring their success to the national stage at the U SPORTS Swimming Championships. The Championships will be held in St. John's, Newfoundland, in March.

The team has big shoes to fill as the Hawks are coming off a historic U SPORTS championship with a bronze medal, several team records and a ninth-place finish in the men's 4x100m medley relay.
