WATERLOO, Ont. -- The Golden Hawks cross country team has officially announced their 2025 schedule, consisting of three invitational races.Â
The team hits the trails for the season opening Vigars & Salter Western Invitational on Saturday, September 20 in London. Last year, the women's team placed ninth, while the men's team placed eighth.Â
Up next, the Golden Hawks are back in Waterloo for the Don Mills Open hosted by the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday, September 27. The Golden Hawks ran well here last season, earning their best finish of the year with both teams placing fifth.Â
On Friday, October 10, the purple and gold head to Hamilton for the 8-Kay Marauder Invitational hosted by the McMaster Marauders to mark the final meet before championship season.Â
The Golden Hawks will look to give it everything they have on Saturday, October 25 at the OUA Championships. The location and start times are still to be determined. Both teams placed tenth a year ago with Ian Young being the only Golden Hawk to represent at nationals. Â
Young, who placed 80th overall and 73rd in the open division last year, hopes to be joined by fellow Golden Hawks at the U SPORTS Championships in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on Saturday, November 8. Â
