WATERLOO, Ont. – The CFL Scouting Bureau, composed of CFL scouts, player personnel directors and general managers from the league's nine teams, released its Spring Rankings. With the CFL draft only a day away, former Golden Hawks quarterback Taylor Elgersma saw his draft stock improve dramatically.
In the Winter Rankings, Elgersma cracked the top 20, sitting at the 20th spot, but moved up six slots to #14 in the Spring Rankings.
The two-time OUA MVP and Hec Crighton winner topped the U SPORTS charts in touchdowns (20), yards per game (330.4), and total passing yards (2,659) in the regular season.
In the past season, his accomplishments include a Yates Cup championship, Uteck Bowl, and Vanier Cup appearance.
Defensive backs Maliek Cote and Johari Hastings, receivers Ethan Jordan and Raiden Thorne, linebacker Jayden Griffiths, defensive lineman Chisanem Nsitem, and offensive lineman Josh Rietveld round out the group of Golden Hawks hoping to have their name called on draft night.
The CFL will welcome the 2025 draft class on Tuesday April 29 starting at 6 pm, with the first two rounds being broadcast on TSN and Rounds 3-8 on TSN+.
