Sarah Howell were both named to the 2024-25 U SPORTS all-rookie team at Wednesday night's All-Canadian Awards Ceremony in Waterloo.
Gathering at Fed Hall on the University of Waterloo campus on the eve of the 2025 Miller Waste Systems U SPORTS Women's Hockey Championship, Chisholm and Howell accepted their certificates before fellow nominees and participating teams.
The pair became the first duo of Golden Hawks women's hockey student-athletes to be named to the U SPORTS all-rookie team since Laura Brooker and Alannah Wakefield in 2010.
Their recognition came on the heels of both players being named to the OUA all-rookie team.
Chisholm, who was also named the OUA women's hockey rookie of the year, was the conference's nominee for the national honour which went to Daphné Boutin of Bishop's.
Laurier's manager of women's hockey operations and head coach
Kelly Paton, named the OUA's women's coach of the year, was also a nominee for the Fox40 Coach of the Year award that went to Julie Chu of Concordia.
