With exactly one month until the 2025 Outstanding Women of Laurier Gala, the organizing committee for the 18th annual event is thrilled to announce that Katherine Henderson, President & CEO of Hockey Canada, will be the evening's keynote speaker.
Â
Katherine Henderson was named president and chief executive officer of Hockey Canada on July 4th, 2023. At the gala on March 27th, Katherine will share some of the behind-the-scenes work Hockey Canada is doing to help grow the women's & girl's game in Canada.Â
Â
Previously Katherine served as the chief executive officer of Curling Canada, where she successfully led initiatives to introduce new Canadians to the sport, spearheaded pay equity for Canada's men's and women's curling teams, and drove a financial turnaround of the organization's business model.
Â
A leader in the greater sports community, Katherine was the senior vice-president of marketing and revenue for the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games organizing committee and held progressive roles in marketing and branding with Whirlpool Corporation, Colgate Palmolive Canada, Campbell Soup Canada and General Mills Canada.
Â
Katherine's leadership and dedication to advancing women's hockey will undoubtedly inspire all in attendance.
Â
The keynote portion of the evening is proudly presented by RBC.
