WINDSOR, Ont. - Laurier's indoor track and field team travelled to Windsor for the very competitive Can Am Classic, where most of the top teams in Ontario came ready with their A teams.
Markeiths Flannigan had an incredible meet. He jumped in the triple jump 13:82 metres, propelling him into the top 10 in the country.
Flannigan also jumped to a six-centimetre personal best in the high jump, achieving a height of 1.96 metres while just missing at 1.99 metres.
Other highlights included
Chloe Poulter running a personal best in the 300m race and top splits in the 200m and 400m relays.
Anisha Sabree also had a fantastic meet, running a personal best in the 300m and excelling with the team's 400m and 800m relays.
Alyssa Zinn had the women's team's top performance in the 800m relay and ran a very fast 600m time of 1:39.60.
On the men's side, it was great to see
Tyriq Quayson make it to the very competitive 60m final, running under seven seconds in the semifinals.
The Golden Hawks will now set its sights to the Don Wright Team Challenge hosted by the Western Mustangs in London next Saurday.
