The Department of Athletics & Recreation is excited to be accepting applications for the role of Coordinator, Marketing & Events. This is a multi-faceted role that takes place in an exciting environment.

Position Summary

The Coordinator of Marketing & Events is responsible for assisting with the preparation, development, and execution of all non-varsity events which serve the needs of students, faculty, staff, alumni and the campus community. The incumbent will work alongside alumni and volunteers within the Laurier community and the region of Waterloo to help to develop the fundraising and alumni events to their full potential.

This position will also work in coordinating and executing various sponsorship elements connected to relationships with corporate and community partners. This will include the preparation of print materials, implementing in-game promotional activities at varsity events, and assisting with the creation of new opportunities throughout the department.

The responsibilities of this position are accomplished through collaboration and teamwork with other Athletics & Recreation department staff as well as other university departments including Alumni Relations and Development.
The nature of the work requires that the incumbent work non-standard hours for WLUSA members which includes evenings and weekends as this is when most events are in operation.
