Scotto was a student-athlete for the Golden Hawks from 2011 to 2014.
After graduating with a degree in kinesiology, he joined the staff as assistant offensive line coach in 2016, when the team won the Yates Cup.
Since joining the staff, Scotto has continued to add responsibilities, becoming offensive line coach in 2019, academic tracking coach in 2020, and run game coordinator in 2025.
In April 2026, Scotto was hired full-time as assistant coach, recruiting and student-athlete development. He continues his role working with the offensive line and in academics, as well as adding recruitment and retention responsibilities with the program.
Outside of coaching, Scotto earned his Bachelor of Education from Laurier in 2019 and is a certified elementary and secondary teacher. He spent eight years coaching in the community with the senior varsity Cambridge Lions, serving in many roles such as the offensive line coach, recruiting coordinator, associate head coach, and offensive coordinator.
He resides in Woodstock with his wife, Alex.
