Steven Frake had a great five-year career playing for the Golden Hawks from 2000-2004 as both a receiver and a defensive back.

He was a part of three Yates Cup appearances in that time, winning in 2004.

After the 2004 season, he was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes as a defensive back. 

Frake graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology.

He started coaching at Laurier in 2006 and also spent six seasons with the Guelph Gryphons from 2013 to 2018, winning the Yates Cup in 2015.

Frake lives in Kitchener with his wife Ashley and two sons, Jethro and Jagger.
