Felix Odum played football at Dunbarton Secondary School in Pickering before joining the Golden Hawks in 2009.
Starting as a wide receiver, he switched to defensive back in 2011 and played in 33 games over five seasons.
During his career, he also returned punts and kickoffs. In 2011, I started working as a scout for Laurier and in my first game on the sidelines, I saw Odum return a kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown against Windsor.
In his career, he returned 22 punts and 26 kickoffs.
Defensively, he had 76 solo and 25 assisted tackles, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick.
In his final season, he was a second-team OUA all-star at cornerback.
He also gets credit for scoring the first touchdown in the Michael Faulds coaching era with an interception return in week 1 of the 2013 season at Guelph.
One of the greatest joys of his career at WLU was playing on the same team as his brother Sydney.
After graduating from Laurier with his bachelor’s degree in psychology (with a minor in Political Science), Odum worked for eight years in sales for Apple.
He is currently the Lead Sales Development Representative for Archon Systems Inc. in Pickering, Ontario.
He also stays connected to football by coaching the Durham Dolphins in the Ontario Summer Football League.
