Ed Cadougan is a former standout offensive lineman for the Laurier Golden Hawks. He was named male athlete of the year at Senator O’Connor Secondary School in Toronto for the 2011-12 academic year. That same year, he received the Ted Bryant Award for leadership and sportsmanship in football.
Before joining Laurier, Cadougan played football for the Scarborough Thunder. He went on to appear in 31 career games for the Golden Hawks from 2013 to 2017, earning a starting role as a rookie in Week 1 of the 2013 season after an injury to a teammate.
Cadougan became a fixture on the offensive line and was a starter on Laurier’s Yates Cup championship team in 2016.
After graduating with a degree in kinesiology, Cadougan worked as a physiotherapy assistant and strength coach at Progressive Performance Training, helping train young athletes.
He currently works as a registered massage therapist at a multi-disciplinary clinic in Toronto. Cadougan has also brought massage therapy students to Laurier’s football training camp to gain hands-on experience working with varsity athletes.
In his personal life, Cadougan has taken up gardening and hopes to eventually pursue a quieter lifestyle outside the city. He is set to be married in March 2026.
