Rashad La Touche attended Donald A. Wilson Secondary School in Whitby. In addition to playing football there during his high school years, he also played summer ball with the Scarborough Thunder.Â
La Touche was a heavily recruited running back who received a scholarship to attend WLU.Â
He was a punishing running back who played for Laurier from 2009 to 2014.Â
In his rookie training camp, he was injured and his first year was essentially wiped out.Â
His best seasons were in 2011 and 2012 when he scored nine touchdowns. Twice in 2012, he was named Laurier’s Player of the Game.Â
His favourite memories at WLU were the bus rides and road trips to places such as Ottawa and Windsor.Â
During his time at Laurier, he suffered several injuries, including a strained hip flexor and a torn medial collateral ligament. These injuries and the subsequent care he received helped lead him to his chosen profession.Â
After graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, he became a Registered Massage Therapist, completing the program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in Toronto in 2015.Â
Since then, he has worked as an RMT in Toronto and Oshawa. This includes an entrepreneurial venture known as "La Touche Mobile Massage", allowing him to take his services on the road to serve clients in their own homes.Â
In the past, he has also instructed courses at CCMH and is currently an instructor at Bryan College in Toronto.Â
La Touche met his wife at Laurier. They reside in the Durham region with their young son.Â
