Beyond February: Brentyn Hall
By: Dave Morrissey
Brentyn Hall attended Leaside High School in Toronto and joined the Golden Hawks in 2015.
From 2016 to 2019, Hall was a stellar wide receiver who was an extreme model of consistency. In those four seasons, he caught between 36 and 39 passes every year, averaging 18 yards per catch over his career. He also scored six touchdowns each year. In his final three seasons, he was named a second-team OUA all-star. He was also chosen as the team's offensive player of the week seven times.
The most memorable play of his career was in the 2016 Yates Cup. Trailing Western 40 to 19 with a little over eight minutes left, he caught a 29 yard TD pass on 3rd and 18. WLU went on to win the game 43 to 40.
Upon graduation, Hall took his talents to the private equity world where he oversees the strategic operations of WeShall Investments. He also sits on the Board of Directors for QM Environmental, Mobile Business Express, Friendly Fables Productions, and Taltis Foods.
He advocates for social justice and philanthropy and leads various community engagements supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
