Laurier Athletics is proud to once again host Embrace Your Culture, an annual celebration that brings together basketball, music, food, and cultural expression in one unforgettable game-day experience.
This year's Embrace Your Culture event takes place on Saturday, February 7, as the Golden Hawks host the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at the Laurier Athletic Complex. Fans are invited to be part of a special evening that celebrates the diverse identities and cultures that make up the Laurier community.

A Global Game-Day Experience
Embrace Your Culture transforms the traditional basketball atmosphere into a global celebration. Throughout the evening, fans will enjoy curated music from around the world.
Fans are also encouraged to visit the Hawk Lounge for a FREE international food fest, featuring sample-sized dishes inspired by cuisines from across the globe. The food fest is presented in partnership with Laurier Food Services and Laurier International Student Support.
Halftime Performances Celebrate Culture and Creativity
Culture takes centre stage during halftime of both games with live performances:
- Women's halftime will feature a performance by the Laurier Recreation AfroFusion Dance Class
- Men's halftime will feature a live musical performance by RBCxMusic First Up artist Spitty
