Chima Ihekwoaba played high school football for Notre Dame in Burlington before joining Laurier in 2006.
He was a defensive end who played four seasons for the Golden Hawks. Â
During his career with Laurier, he had 40.5 tackles and seven sacks, graduating with a communication studies degree.
In 2009, he was selected to play in the CIS (now U SPORTS) East-West Bowl.
In 2010, he was a second round draft pick of the Montreal Alouettes and played in three pre-season games with the Detroit Lions before being one of the final roster cuts.
He played three seasons in the CFL and was a Grey Cup Champion in 2010.
Following his professional football career, he has worked as an analyst for Minogue Medical Incorporated, a sales development representative and manager of enterprise business development for Salesforce, a manager of sales development for FormAssembly, and an account executive for Oracle.
Most recently (and impressively), as of August 2025, Chima became the president of TBF Environmental Technology.
