GUELPH, Ont. – The Golden Hawks bounced back in their second preseason game, shutting out the Gryphons 2–0 behind a 16-save performance from veteran goaltender Kayla Renaud.

Assistant captain Olivia MacMillan opened the scoring in the first period with an unassisted tally.

In the third, blueliner Rylee Crego doubled the lead on the power play, finishing a setup from Sydney Brooks and MacMillan, who notched her second point of the night.

The Golden Hawks return home to the Waterloo Memorial Rec Complex for their first preseason game on home ice when they host the Brock Badgers on Saturday, September 20. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
