BURLINGTON, Ont. - Ontario University Athletics has officially announced the 2024-25 men's basketball schedule.

Laurier will tip off its 22-game regular season on Friday, October 25, at York.

The purple and gold will make their home debut less than a week later on Friday, November 1, against Ottawa. 

Less than 24 hours after the conclusion of that game, they will once again take to the court at the Laurier Athletic Complex to face the 17-time national champion Carleton Ravens.

In another noteworthy home match-up, Laurier will host the defending OUA champion Queen's Gaels on Saturday, November 16.

After playing 11 games (five at home, six on the road) before the end of the calendar year, the Golden Hawks will get their first chance at extending their current 11-game winning streak in the annual Battle of Waterloo at home on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Laurier has dominated the head-to-head against Waterloo in the past decade, losing just twice in their past 22 meetings dating back to February 2013.  

This season's rematch will occur just over a week later at Waterloo's PAC on Saturday, February 1.

Laurier's final home game on Saturday, February 8, at 3 pm against Guelph will set the stage for Senior Day. 

The team will wrap its regular season on the road at Western on Saturday, February 15, which was the scene of last year's quarterfinal playoff loss to the Mustangs.
