WATERLOO, Ont. - Tickets to the 116th Yates Cup Championship presented by BioSteel are one sale now!
The #2-ranked Laurier Golden Hawks will host the OUA championship for North America’s oldest football trophy on Saturday, November 9 at 1 pm against the #4-ranked Western Mustangs.
It will mark the second straight season that the two teams will go head-to-head in the conference's title game, as Laurier aims to win the trophy for the ninth time in program history.
The last time the two historic programs met in consecutive Yates Cup games was 2016 and 2017 - with the former marking the most recent Golden Hawks championship win.
On Saturday, Laurier defeated the #8-ranked Queen's Gaels for the second time this season in their semifinal match-up while Western eliminated the #5 Guelph Gryphons in theirs.
The winner of Saturday's championship rematch will head east to take on either St. Mary's or Bishop's in the Uteck Bowl on November 16.
