Hirtle started her weekend by recording a team-high 13 points in 29 minutes of action against Guelph on Friday night. The economics major took her game to another level on Saturday in the team's first win of the season. Hirtle recorded nine of her game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter alone to help secure the 72-69 road victory over Toronto. Her final points total set a new career-high as she worked her way into the top 15 in OUA scoring at 14 PPG. In the two weekend games, the Sarnia, Ont. native averaged 18 PPG, 31.5 MPG, and 48% shooting from the field. This is Hirtle's third career Laurier Athlete of the Week award.
