Byers, from Wooolwich, Ont., ran very well at the OUA track & field championships in Windsor. She was a crucial member of both the women's 4 x 200m relay, which placed seventh in a new program record time, and the 4 x 400m relay. Additionally, the second-year arts major ran in the 60m race, finishing 13th with a best time of 7.80. She was the women's team's top finisher in the 300m, coming in 12th in an excellent time of 41.94 seconds.
