Shingarov, Laurier men's hockey's rookie goaltender, set a new program record on Friday night with a 66-save performance in the purple and gold's victory over the #8 Concordia Stingers for his first career OUA win. Making just his third career start for the Golden Hawks, the economics major from Deux-Montagnes, Quebec - a suburb of Montreal - was sensational playing back in his hometown. His efforts between the pipes secured the Laurier win and cemented his name in the program's record books, having surpassed Ryan Daniels' previous record of 55 saves set in 2011 against the Western Mustangs.
